Innocent Gorgeous Greens Smoothie

Green smoothies, in my experience, are either a complete hit or a complete miss. I've had some delicious ones, some frankly awful ones (they put tomatoes in it?!) and then just recently I had an Innocent one...

Innocent need no introduction when it comes to fruity drinks but they have only just started making green smoothies and my goodness they are good!

I was so excited to head over to Fruit Towers and see what goes in to the new Gorgeous Greens smoothie and taste just how gorgeous it was.

It was, needless to say, seriously delicious.

Rather than invite us bloggers over to just sit and drink smoothies all night, (although that would be a fantastic event idea...) they also invited Amber along to show us how she goes about creating her incredible fruit 'veg art'.

Amber started off by preparing all the gorgeous fruit and veg by chopping, slicing, tearing, curling and grating it in all the right places.

She then started off my placing the larger pieces of kale and then worked all the other ingredients of the smoothie in around them.

The smoothie is packed full of apples, pears, spinach, kale, peach, orange, courgette and a squeeze of lemon.

If all that isn't enough for you Innocent have also thrown in a little spirulina, safflower and the new cool guy on the superfood block, baobab.

If you're anything like me you immediately think of that African tree from GCSE geography with the huge trunk that stores water. Well that is the right tree, but what you might not know is that the fruit from the baobab tree contains crazy amounts of vitamin C which is beneficial to pretty much every bit of your body.

Geography lesson over. Let's get back to the fruit.

We sat and munched on yummy wraps and sipped on Gorgeous Green smoothies while asking the lovely team at Innocent all about smoothies and Amber all about creating art from vegetables and eating only raw food.

Amber popped the Gorgeous Greens smoothies in to her masterpiece as we all ran upstairs to admire her artwork from a different angle. It's such a pleasure to watch someone create something so beautiful and also so unique.
