Warming Indian Stew

As the nights are drawing in earlier and earlier I find myself wanting easy, comforting but still delicious dinners. It's also always nice when they don't cost a fortune!

This is how my Warming Indian Stew was born...

Copenhagen: Where to eat

I must admit, the first thing I do when researching where to travel is check what the food scene is like. I have been known to book a holiday based solely on the food I would find when I got there..!

There are so many delicious places to eat in Copenhagen but I reckon these are my favourites...

Innocent Gorgeous Greens Smoothie

Green smoothies, in my experience, are either a complete hit or a complete miss. I've had some delicious ones, some frankly awful ones (they put tomatoes in it?!) and then just recently I had an Innocent one...

Innocent need no introduction when it comes to fruity drinks but they have only just started making green smoothies and my goodness they are good!

Anzac biscuits

Now although I'm not from Australia or New Zealand I did live in Sydney for a while and my fella is from New Zealand so I feel like I can justify an ANZAC post.

If you don't know, ANZAC stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps and on the 25th April Aussies and New Zealanders commemorate the first major military action they fought in the 1st World War.

Or if you're like me you commemorate by baking ANZAC biscuits..!

Quick and Easy Autumnal Soup

I don't know anyone that doesn't love a big bowl of soup. The ultimate comfort food for anytime of the year. OXO very kindly sent some of their new stock pots over for me to try and I whipped up some of the most delicious and unbeliveably easy soup I could.

Easy Chicken Teriyaki Sushi

I'm a big sushi fan. However I'm really not a fan of raw fish so I always go for the meat and vegetable dishes. One of my favourites has to be chicken and avocado. As you may be aware it's one of my favourite combinations for everything and sushi is no exception.

The one thing that gets me about sushi though is that it's just so expensive, or I should say, it gets so expensive as it's so hard to stop grabbing things of that conveyer!

Here enters my easy chicken teriyaki sushi recipe...

Hovis: Chia Bread Launch

Hovis is a huge name in the world of sliced bread so I was very excited to be invited to the launch of their new Chia Bread. I wasn't sure what to expect as I sat on the bus and made my way over to the city. What I didn't expect was to be attending the best bloggers event I have had the pleasure of attending yet...

Marrakech Photo Diary

So I've already told you all the things I think you should do in Marrakech but I still had LOADS of photos left over that I just couldn't not share with you.

So if you will forgive my lack of words this post will simply be a photo diary/ a heap of photos that I love from the trip.

Things To Do in Marrakech

As I've said before the fella and I love to take quick trips away. However, he went and got himself a brilliant new job. Great. Fabulous. There go all our spontaneous trips! (Obviously I am actually completely thrilled!)

So we flew off to Morocco for a few days to catch some sun, do some exploring and eat lots of food! As we were only there for two and a half days we had to prioritise what we wanted to do, so here is my list of what to get up to in Marrakech if time is a bit tight.

The Stable Wassail

A little while ago I got an email from the lovely Lana asking if I wanted to come along to a Hampshire Bloggers event at The Stable in Winchester. She also told me that it would involve drinking cider and eating lots of pizza. Obviously I was in!

Five Happy Things #7

1) My mum and dad came up to London and treated me, the fella and my housemate to a fabulous day in Kensington. A delicious lunch and then the AMAZING Cirque du Soleil show Amaluna at the Royal Albert Hall.

Breakfast at Darwin Brasserie

It's well known by now that breakfast is my favourite meal of the day. I also quite enjoy playing tourist in my own city. So when I was given the opportunity to combine the two at Darwin Brasserie at the top of 'The Walkie Talkie' I was frankly pretty excited.

Carioca: Bringing Brazil to Brixton

Brazil is at the top of my travel to do list and has been for sometime come to think of it. So when I was asked to come and have a try of the menu at Carioca in Brixton Market I couldn't possibly refuse.

National Breakfast Week

I LOVE BREAKFAST.

I also like all other food but to me breakfast foods really are the best of all of them. That probably has a lot to do with the fact that breakfast can involve nearly any food you can think of, so when I heard that National Breakfast Week was a thing I knew I had to talk about it!

#BloggersBelowZero: Ice Bar London

A few months ago I got an email from LDN Meet Up (a bloggers community) about an opportunity to have a few drinks in the newly sculpted Ice Bar London. Obviously I signed up right away and frantically stalked the other bloggers going!

Prague: What to see and what to eat.

The fella and I have become quite partial to little Ryanair getaways and this time we headed off to Prague. There's something so lovely about visiting a place neither of you have been before (or at least I don't remember going as I was so small) and as we flew in over snow sprinkled fields we were very excited to get out and explore.

Packing hand luggage

I'm slightly renowned in my family for over packing. I convince myself that I need to take everything I look at with me. However when I'm running away to Europe for a few days I really can't justify taking more than a little suitcase and I don't want to jinx it but I think I may have got the whole 'light packing' thing down!

#BloggersChristmasBurger

Here are a few things I like: blogging, burgers, nice people and Christmas.
Here are a few things I don't like: being too full to finish my dinner and my favourite pop up restaurants moving out of town.

The little bloggers event I organised a few weeks ago involved all of these things and then we added in some cheese for good measure.

2015: A Year in Review

I wasn't planning on doing one of these posts but after reading a few I thought it was such a good way to look back on the best bits of the year and it also provided me with a chance to go back though all my photos and reminice!

January

2015 kicked off with two of my closest friends and lots of pizza. It was a fairly uninteresting month which was mostly spent helping to direct a Greek comedy at uni (probably should learn to say no to things like this..!)
